Slingshot is a British entertainment company, dedicated to making good films, differently. Founded in 2006, we have produced and co-financed five feature films to date and also experimented with the UK distribution of a further five. Starting in low budget independent film, Slingshot has now diversified and works across a wide range of budgets; in television and theatre as well as film, both in the UK and internationally.

Slingshot is run by founder Arvind Ethan David in partnership with Cavan Ash. In the USA we are represented by management firm Circle of Confusion.

Through slate co-financing deals with BBC Films and others we can bring pictures to reality quickly and effectively.  Working closely with our distribution and sales partners, we assume responsibility for finding audiences for our films, taking a particularly active role in the digital marketing campaigns.

In early 2009, we launched Second Picture Syndrome, an initiative under which 11 talented writers and directors joined the Slingshot fold on a “first look” basis to make a slate of higher budget films.
