Gordon Anderson

Gordon Anderson began directing in the theatre as an Assistant Director at the Royal Court Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He went on to direct for many of the UK’s leading theatre and opera companies and became the Artistic Director of ATC in 2001, a position he held for five years. He trained as a television director at the BBC and went on to direct and write for THE CATHERINE TATE SHOW. He directed three series of the show as well as a Christmas Special and a Comic Relief Special for Tiger Aspect and the BBC. The show was nominated three times for a BAFTA and won many other awards, both nationally and internationally. He also directed two series of SUBURBAN SHOOTOUT for Feelgood Fiction and Channel 5 and the first series of THE INBETWEENERS for Bwark and Channel 4. This show won Best New Comedy at the 2008 British Comedy Awards and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2009. Most recently, he directed three episodes of MOVING WALLPAPER for Kudos and ITV. Gordon is currently co-writing a feature film script BALLS OF STEEL with Catherine Tate and Aschlin Ditta for Working Title.
