TORMENTED is a horror comedy about revenge; Darren Mullet is an asthmatic nerd victimised by playground bullies who finally finds the courage to stand up for himself. But there’s just one little problem standing in his way – he’s dead.

Justine Fielding is the gorgeous head girl of her plush suburban grammar school. She has just won a place at Oxford when hunk and king of the in-crowd Alexis asks her out. But Alexis and his friends aren’t quite as glam as they seem; underneath the cool veneer lurks a pack of vicious bullies who spend their time teasing people like Darren – who was driven to suicide by their taunts.

But Darren’s not taking this one lying down, he’s back from the dead and this time he’s got nothing to lose. Torturing his former classmates one by one, they soon discover there’s no point trying to reason with a rotting corpse…

Written by Worcestershire-born Stephen Prentice and directed by Jon Wright (THE LIBRARIAN’S DREAM – winner of the BBC Talent Competition 2006), TORMENTED opened theatrically in the UK in May 2009 to great reviews and came out on DVD on 28 September 2009.
