		<description>Looks pretty damn wonderful. Loved the books too; in some ways they&#039;re a humanist riposte to Narnia (which I loved as a kis before realising it was a christian allegory-I thought they were just cool stories with witches and lions).
Would be interesting to see what they include and cut out-some pruning will be needed to make them work as films.
Incidentally my obscenely talented sister Nina just put on a stage production of His Dark Materials parts 1 &amp; 2 with a hundred or so youth theatre kids of all ages, so for me the film has even more to live up to!</description>
